Ade Adepitan book Battle of the Cyborg Cat has been flying off the bookshelves ever since it was released last summer.
Ade is the new kid on Parsons Road. He knows he should make an effort and make some friends but it's not easy when you look different to everyone else. It's only when Ade sees off some bullies that Dexter, Brian and Shed realize who Ade really is: their new friend, part cyborg, part footballing genius and all hero. Over the summer, the boys' days are filled with adventure and laughter but the first day of school is not far away and things are about to change forever…
For ages 8-12 years and based on real life events, Battle of the Cyborg Cat is the first title in a three part illustrated series, Ade’s Amazing Ade-ventures, written by television presenter and Paralympian Ade Adepitan.
Ade contracted polio as a child and lost the use of his left leg. After arriving in England from Nigeria, Ade found this new environment daunting but he quickly adapted and made friends - together they formed the Parsons Road Gang. With friendship firmly at the core of the series, Ade learns that with friends you can overcome all the obstacles life throws at you.
Battle of the Cyborg Cat is on sale now in paperback priced £5.99 published by Studio Press.
