Selena Gomez has launched a mental health platform with her mother, Mandy Teefey and Daniella Pierson offering support and advice for those struggling with their wellbeing.

Announcing the new website, called Wondermind, Gomez said in a promotional video: “I want there to be a place of people coming together and understanding that they're not alone.

“Being vulnerable and seeking help is one of the most terrifying things in the world,” the singer adds. “It requires much courage and bravery.”

Wondermind describes itself as a training session for the mind as, “The more you practice, the better you feel—just like working out. We’re giving you easy ways to do it via daily content.”

The platform offers public discussions, journaling exercises, public discussions and a mental health podcast.

All the women behind the platforms have all struggled with personal mental health issues, Teefey was misdiagnosed before finding out she had OCD, a condition Pierson has been trying to deal with all her life.

Gomez said: “I understand what it's like to be confused and not really understand what are these feelings and emotions coming from... I live with bipolar—I don't suffer from it anymore. I'm really happy and proud of the progress I have made.”
