Shawn Mendes partied in Miami over the weeknd just two weeks after cancelling dates of the Wonder world tour because he needed to rest in order to focus on his mental health.
According to a source the Canadian pop star looked ‘in amazing spirits’ at a nightclub with The Weeknd on Saturday night (July 6).
Mendes and his friends were seen hanging out in the DJ booth where they were later joined by The Weeknd (Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) who arrived after his gig at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The star also shared images of himself chilling on a yacht and wearing just a pair of black shorts and a baseball cap back to front.
On Sunday morning Mendes posted selfies on his Instagram account nursing a hangover after partying all night.
The party weekend happened just two weeks after Mendes announced he had to cancel his upcoming world tour due to mental health conditions on July 27.
At the time he wrote on social media: 'It has become more clear that I need to take the time I've never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger,' he wrote in a statement, adding, 'I unfortunately have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe.'
'We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority. This doesn't mean I won't be making new music, and I can't wait to see you on tour in the future.'
He went on to thank fans for their support and 'for sticking by me on this journey.'
Shawn Mendes is seeking professional help for his mental health.
