Adam ‘Dev’ Devonshire (pictured above) from IDLES has announced a live-stream benefit show in support of a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.

The bassist has called in Welsh outfit Mclusky, Willie J Healey, Fenne Lily, Dogeyed, TV Priest and Wilderman to join the bill as well as comedians Josh Weller, Seann Walsh and Stewart Lee.

Filmed at The Exchange in Bristol on June 20 from 6pm to 11pm BST the event will raise money for the Gig Buddies charity.

As well as comedy and live music there will be the chance to win exclusive prizes donated by The National, Slowdive, BEAK<, Sharon Van Etten and Mogwai as well as artwork by Orlando Weeks from The Maccabees and local artist Sickboy.

Gig Buddies pairs adults with autism and/or learning disabilities with a suitable volunteer so they can attend live events together.

Devonshire said: “After witnessing first-hand what vital and wonderful work Gig Buddies do, It has been an honour and a privilege for me to be working with them and to help raise awareness of the wonderful service that they provide.

“Music and live events provide us all with so much happiness and catharsis, everyone deserves to have that joy in their lives. As we’re all hopefully getting back to a place where live events will be happening again, now is a great time to raise awareness for the charity.”

You can buy tickets for the show and raffle from the Head First Bristol website with a suggested donation of £5.
