Ariana Grande has donated $5million (£3.6million) to a charity which provides support for those suffering from mental health.
The singer made the announcement yesterday, October 10, to coincide with World Mental Health Day.
Grande’s donation will support the Better Help mental health platform.
She wrote on Instagram: “I acknowledge that there are very real barriers when it comes to accessing mental health resources and while this is only one small gesture (and a much larger systemic problem remains) I wanted to do this again with @betterhelp in hopes of bringing access to a few more people and perhaps inspiring a few of you to try something new and prioritize your own healing.”
Everyone who signs up will be offered a month of therapy for free and the option to renew their Better Help subscription with a 15 per cent discount for their second month.
In June 2021 Ariana Grande offered free therapy with a similar giveaway of up to $1million (£731,000).
