Actor Ezra Miller has announced they are seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues” after years of troubling behaviour.

A representative for the “The Flash” star issued a statement to Variety which includes a public apology from Miller.

“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller says in the statement.

“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

The non-binary actor has recently been charged with felony burglary in Vermont where they stole several bottles of alcohol from a house whilst the homeowners were away.

In 2022 they were caught on camera choking a woman outside a bar in Iceland, no charges were made.

Earlier this year Miller was arrested on two separate occasions for disorderly conduct and harassment.

They pled no contest to a count of misdemeanour disorderly conduct and paid a $500 fine in $30 in court cases.

The Flash is scheduled to be released in June 2023 across the UK.
