Angelina Jolie has revealed she was diagnosed with a temporary muscle weakness in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.
The Hollywood actress was reflecting on the past twelve months which saw her split from long-term husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie said she noticed one side of her face starting to droop, after expressing concerns with her doctor she was told she had Bells Palsy.
Speaking openly about the condition the Girl, Interrupted star told Vanity Fair: “Sometimes women in families put themselves last. Until it manifests itself in their own health.”
She added: "I actually feel like more of a woman because I'm being smart about my choices, and I'm putting my family first, and I'm in charge of my life and my health. I think that's what makes a woman complete.
"I've been trying for nine months to be really good at just being a homemaker and picking up dog poop and cleaning dishes and reading bedtime stories. And I'm getting better at all three."
Angelina underwent acupuncture to make a full recovery from her Bell’s palsy.
