TV show goes behind the scenes at inclusive model agency

Nine models who are signed to Zebedee Talent Agency

Channel 4’s New Model Agency follows a fashion industry devoted to promoting diversity and inclusivity.

The team at Zebedee Talent represent Non Binary, Trans and disabled models, now for the first time we are given unprecedented access and a front row catwalk seat to see what goes on behind the seams, sorry - scenes!

In tonight’s first episode, Tuesday 27th February, open casting day sees a number of hopefuls walk through the door hoping to become Britain’s next A-list model who all have their personal story to tell.

One model who has been on their own journey to the fashion world is Jasroop who lives with the skin condition Vitiligo.

In her home country of South Africa it is seen as a barrier, going against the standards of beauty.

But the 21-year-old has turned their back on such prejudice by landing a fashion shoot in Venice.

It sounds like a dream opportunity - until they turn up at the Italian not so glamorous location - a shabby old sports hall.

However, as we see in next week’s episode, things aren’t as rubbish as they seem when the photo shoot leads to an invite to The Venice Film Festival.

Elsewhere in the second programme army veteran and amputee Dan R [it stands for Richards in case you are wondering] has his big break when he’s headhunted by Tommy Hilfiger and M&S come knocking to find models for their BraFit campaign.

[ New Model Agency is on Channel 4, Tuesdays at 10pm and available to watch online. ]
