Disabled teen models for Gucci

Keep your eyes open for Ellie Goldstein, the teenager could well be the next big supermodel after receiving thousands of likes on a social media account.

The Instragram page didn’t belong to just anyone, the rising catwalk star became a popular face for Gucci and appears in this month’s edition of Vogue Italia.

Ellie, who has Downs Syndrome, is signed to Zebedee Management who find careers for people with disabilities.

Thanks to her appearance in the world famous fashion magazine Goldstein attracted almost 800,000 likes on Instragram and modelled for Gucci Mascara L’Obscur campaign.

Her family, from Ilford, Essex, told Metro how proud they are of Ellie’s achievements.

Mum Yvonne said: ‘We’re all incredibly proud of Ellie and all the lovely comments she has had on Gucci’s Instagram.

‘She has always loved being in the limelight and in front of the camera, she’s very confident and good at taking direction.

‘Drama is her passion and she has been in lots of shows. She is very outgoing and wants to be seen and heard.

‘She is very good at English and has a great memory which helps with memorising scripts.’

Ellie is currently taking a performance arts course in Redbridge, Essex. She recalled the day she spent with two models for the Gucci campaign in London.

‘I really enjoyed the modelling and loved wearing the Gucci dress. I’m really proud of the photoshoot and would love to be famous.’

She added: ‘I’m looking forward to modelling for other brands.’

One of Yvonne’s friends encouraged her to put Ellie’s name forward to Zebedee Management after watching the agency being advertised on ITV’s This Morning.

Ellie Goldstein joined Zebedee Management in 2017.
