Disabled Models take to the Catwalk at Tokyo Fashion Week

This year’s Tokyo fashion week didn’t just see models walking down the catwalk, for some they were wheeling down the platform as they showed off the latest wears for Takafumi Tsuruta’s label Tenbo. 

The show also included a blind lady.

Tsuruta is well known for designing clothes to suit disabled people. He swaps fiddly buttons for magnetic ones making garments easier to fasten up and undo.

The fashion show follows a similar showcase presented by Fondazione Vertical at last month’s FTL Monda’s AW15 show in Milan.
