Leah Washington made the headlines in 2015 after she was involved in a serious crash at Alton Towers which resulted in the 21-year-old losing one of her legs.

Now, four years on from the horrific from the accident, the amputee is embarking on a modelling carer for Emily Atack’s In The Style collection.

Sharing the first shoot with her 17,000 followers on social media Leah posted the image which shows her wearing a white shirt dress with Washington’s £60,000 prosthetic leg next to model Olakemi, Zara Parker and Atack with the message: “Such an amazing experience to work with @inthestyle and @emilyatackofficial!

“So overwhelmed to even be asked by the brand and the collection looks like it’s going to be amazing!

“So proud that in the style has decided to work with non stereotypical models & also banning air brushing to show off real girls."

The photo has already attracted a stream of replies from people sharing their support.

One response read: “Oh this is just fantastic, well done and congratulations x I'll be telling your number 1 fan/supporter in the morning before school x so so proud of everything you're achieving.”

Another said: “I think you’ve been picked because your a strong & beautiful lady. That’s the kind of girls @emilyatackofficial will want by her side.”
