ITV has announced Jeremey Paxton will present a new documentary about his Parkinsons disease.

The University Challenge host went public with the condition last year saying he was “receiving excellent treatment” and only suffering from “currently mild” symptoms.

In Paxman: Putting Up with Parkinson’s we will see Jeremey speaking to medical professionals and other celebrities living with the illness.

Cameras follow Paxton taking part in an English National Ballet therapy dance class and a game of bowls as well as speaking to Parkinson’s UK president, Jane Asher.

The hour-long documentary will also cover some of the myths linked with the disease.

In an interview with The Guardian Paxton said he will continue his broadcasting work “for as long as they’ll have me”.
