An A to Z glossary of disabilities

Also referred to as CTE, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy is caused by a series of head injuries. Signs of CTE can be memory loss, behavioural problems, personality changes, aggression and depression. The signs may not be apparent until years after brain injuries and in some cases conclusive proof of CTE may only be diagnosed in a post mortem.
