The Box Office entrance – which has automatic doors - and the main entrance have level access from Lower Mosley Street.

You will find a ramp and lift leading to Barbirolli Square and the canal basin and covered walkway under Lower Mosley Street from the NCP Manchester Central car park – You must book your space through the box office if you wish to park free of charge and there’s only a few complimentary disabled spaces available for each performance. This service works on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is a drop off point outside the venue.

There is step free access to the meeting rooms, bars, restaurants and auditorium.

An accessible toilet is situated on all the levels – the one on Level 2 has a sliding door.

Each of the four levels has 4 spaces for wheelchairs.

The Stalls are on a level access – there is a gentle incline sloping from to the front from the back.

If you have any additional requirements such as extra leg room or wish to bring an assistance dog please let the venue know in advance.

Wheelchairs can be hired for the day of the performance providing you let the venue know in advance.

If you are visually impaired you can bring your guide dogs into the auditorium – Dog mats are available from the Box Office. The lifts are equipped with voice announcements and raised lettering. The stairs also have raised lettering.

For visitors with a hearing impairment they can chose from a stethoscope receiver, necklet induction receiver or an earpiece receiver which all feature a Sennheiser infra-red hearing system. These can be borrowed from the cloakroom. The venue is named after the Third Duke of Bridgewater who commissioned the Bridgewater Canal in Manchester.
