HOW TO BUY TICKETS

You are required to buy a standard ticket first from the CarFest website

After you have bought a standard ticket complete the online Access Requirement Form  to request a complimentary ticket for your Personal Assistant and email your application to [email protected]

You will be required to provide proof of your disability with a copy of either…

- A valid Access Card with a +1 symbol [Please provide your card number on the access registration form]

- A copy of a current award letter (included name address and rates of the award) of DLA, PIP, Attendance Allowance or similar

- Impairment specific registration card / certificate

- A recent personal letter of support from your hospital specialist clearly stating the need for a substantial amount of support from another person

The team will aim to reply within two weeks.

You will be required to show proof of your disability on arrival.

If you are told you are not eligible for a free PA ticket you may purchase an additional ticket.

ACCESS INFO

Accessible parking at CarFest, signposted on the main approach to the festival, is free and served on a first come first served basis for blue badge holders. You are not permitted to park next to your tent/ caravan but can unload in the accessible campsite before driving to the accessible car park.

You can pre-book an electric scooter or manual wheelchair online at event mobility - or call 01386 725391 - for £30 [electric scooter] or £10 [manual wheelchair].

When approved you will receive a wristband granting you access to viewing platforms [ where you can be accompanied by one guest ]and accessible toilets.

Day ticket holders can collect their wristbands at the viewing platforms or the Organisers Office situated in the main field.

The accessible campsite [ which can be applied for via the Access Requirement Form has accessible toilets, accessible showers [opened by a RADAR key], a Changing Places/ HDU - which provides a height-adjustable changing bench and a hoist - you will need to bring your own sling - if you wish to use the HDU please state this on the Access Requirement Form,  a charging tent for power wheelchairs and scooters, a drinking water tap, a pot washing station and a fridge to store specialist food.

If you have your own RADAR key please bring it with you, if not you can borrow one from the campsite manager office.

You may camp in the accessible campsite with up to 5 people, including yourself and your PA.

If you are camping in a caravan/ campervan because of your accessible requirements this will be free of charge providing you give an explanation in the Access Requirement Form.

If you need a power hook-up please mention this in the Access Requirement Form 

Viewing Platforms are situated in the arena, scooters may not be permitted on the platforms but you can drive to a chair before your PA parks the scooter nearby. A limited number of chairs will be available for a disabled guest and 1 PA, so feel free to bring your own.

Accessible toilets will be situated around the site and at each viewing platform.

The medical tent is situated next to the Organisers Office.

Box offices are equipped with hearing loop systems with hearing devices available on request. If you wish to use this facility please email [email protected] in advance.

The accessible campsite is 160m from the festival entrance.

The accessible car park is 480m from the festival entrance.

There is a shuttle bus from both of these locations to the event site operating on a first come, first served basis.
