Please note the Steam Illuminations attraction contains flashing lights and may be unsuitable for passengers with epilepsy.

There are two wheelchair accessible carriages on-board the train. The Bulleid Brake S4211 carriage can accommodate 5-6 wheelchair spaces and their personal assistants. The other wheelchair carriage has room for 2-3 wheelchair spaces and their personal assistants with two tables.

The accessible carriage departs Alresford at 10.30am and 2pm and Alton at 10.20am and 1.25pm for standard trips but for the Steam Illuminations rides this may vary, please call 01962 733810 for up-to-date information.

Every station has ramps the available should you require help boarding the trains.

On some services there may be room to store wheelchairs in the brake department.

If you require any help please ask one of the volunteers or staff who will be happy to assist.

Each platform has step-less access, ramp access is available to cross platforms at Alresford, Ropley and Medstaed.

There is a footbridge with lifts crossing platforms 1 and 2 for the Watercress Line adjacent.

Accessible parking is available at Alresford and at Alton in the South Western Railway car park.

Accessible toilets are available at Alresford station in the Old Goods Shed, Ropley Station and Alton station.

There is a restoration route around Ropley whilst construction is taking place, please bear in mind the surface may not be accessible for all.

The Watercress Line has been a dementia friendly attraction since 2016, a number of staff and volunteers have received dementia awareness training to ensure they enjoy their experience.

Accessible dogs are welcome on the trains.

There is no compensation for personal assistants who board the Steam Illuminations rides.

First aid boxes are available on every train and in all Station Masters Offices.
