Disabled visitors are entitled to a concession and their PA’s are eligible for a complimentary ticket.
Accessible parking bays are located close to the main entrance.
Wheelchairs and motorised scooters can be hired free of charge although as these are limited you are advised to book one in advance.
The museum floor has a cobbled floor with tramlines and there’s also pavements with dropped kerbs so the surface is uneven. The surface in the 1930s area is flat although some of the flooring areas are textured.
Accessible toilets can be located on the entrance level and the museum floor.
The café is wheelchair accessible.
Both lifts can accommodate wheelchairs.
If you need a rest seating areas can be found around the museum.
The reception is equipped with an induction loop.
Most visitors take use of the free audioguides which provide a running commentary around the museum which have a volume control – You can request headphones so they are easier to hear. Visitors with hearing aids can request a portable induction loop which is worn around the neck. Both of these services are subject to availability.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the museum.
All the audiovisual’s have subtitles.

The Milestones Museum features a network of streets which have been recreated by those found around Hampshire during the 1930s and it was opened on 1st December 2000 by HRH Duke of Edinburgh.
