Despite the COVID-19 pandemic Kew Gardens are opening their gates for their annual after-dark trail experience for the festive season.
On the enchanted walk you will discover a breath-taking treetop waterfall, walk through a dazzling tunnel of bells and explore an illuminated Rose Garden.
The Temperate House will be lit up by lasers, fairy lights will welcome you inside the Tunnel of Light and there will be a spectacular light show on the Palm House Pond.
Kew’s Botanical restaurant will also be open for Christmas dinner and you can purchase hot chocolate as well as festive drinks at street vendors around the park.

Between 4-10pm.
The main entrance to the event is situated at Victoria Gate, Brentford Gate with reserved parking and Lion Gate if you are travelling from Richmond.

ACCESS INFO
Ticket prices for Christmas at Kew is Off peak £19.50/ Peak £24.50. If you can provide proof of your disability you are entitled to a complimentary ticket for your personal assistant.
Tickets can be purchased from the Kew Gardens website.
The trail will take around 75 minutes and is approximately 2.6km long.
Most of the attraction can be viewed from the pathways, for interactive elements which require visitors to step on the grass additional matting will be provided.
The trail is accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, but please bear in mind surfaces may become slippery in wet weather and the pathways do have a number of varying gradients
You can borrow wheelchairs on a first come, first served basis.
Registered assistance dogs are welcome at Kew Gardens.
Accessible toilets are located at Victoria Plaza, Pavilion Bar and Grill and Brentford Gate
There is free parking for Blue Badge holders in Kew’s car park (TW9 3AF) providing you purchase tickets with reserved parking.

You can book with confidence for Christmas at Kew. Come along knowing that the safety and wellbeing of our visitors is of the upmost importance to us and we are continually monitoring and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic situation as it evolves.
Current plans in place for the comfort and reassurance of our visitors include:
Adding extra time slots, using an additional gate and revising the trail route to manage visitor flow
There will be fewer visitors at the trail this year as we have limited ticket sales
All of our slots are in 20-minute intervals meaning staggered arrivals and departures across the evening
Additional cleaning across the route each night
We will continue to review the situation and communicate any further updates with you.
If Christmas at Kew is cancelled, you will be notified and offered an alternative date, if available, or a full refund.
If you are unable to attend because of government restrictions in place due to coronavirus, please contact See Tickets customer service at the earliest opportunity to discuss further.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive or are instructed to self-isolate, we ask that you do not attend Christmas at Kew. Please contact See Tickets customer service to discuss your options, which include transferring to another date, subject to availability.

Underneath Kew Garden’s Palm House lie the remains of railway tunnels. They were used to transport fuel for heating the glasshouse, with carts of coke being pulled by hand along the route.
