Frank Turner has paid tribute to late Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison in his new single ‘A Wave Across A Bay’

The song is taken from Turner’s forthcoming album ‘FTHC’, released on February 11.

Scott’s surviving brother Grant gave his blessing to the track which was first performed by Turner during a set of Frightened Rabbit covers in 2020.

Money raised by the livestream show went to Tiny Changes, the mental health charity launched by the Hutchison family after Scott took his own life in 2018.

Paying tribute to his late friend Turner said in a statement: “I still miss my friend Scott every day. His passing left such a huge hole in so many lives.

“I wrote this song in his honour and memory, it was hard to write and record, but I think it does the man some small justice.”

Profits from the 7” vinyl edition of ‘A Wave Across A Bay’, which features Turner’s cover of Frightened Rabbit’s track ‘The Modern Leper’ will be donated to Tiny Changes.

Frank Turner played the first ABLE2UK concert at Camden Roundhouse in 2012.
