Rynair has been criticised by a disabled comedian after the airline lost a vital part of her wheelchair when the plane touched down in London.

Tanyalee Davis – who has a form of dwarfism – noticed her custom – made rack for her scooter had gone missing after flying back from Slovenia where she performed a show.

Her flight was delayed for over three hours, Davis had to wait a further two hours until staff brought out the scooter, but the rack still hasn’t been found.

Tanyalee told The Standard: “After landing, we kept getting passed from person to person with nobody knowing where the scooter was meant to be coming from.

“We had to keep walking all around and it was absolute chaos.

“I finally got the scooter back two hours after we landed, but then I found out a custom made part was gone. It’s a rack that sits on the backseat and allows me to store my luggage.”

The 47-year-old is now concerned about an event she has coming up in a few days’ time.

“I’m going away for shows next week and I don’t know what I’m going to do because I can’t carry or wheel my suitcase,” She said.

“It’s such a valuable piece – it gives me my independence.”

Ryanair have blamed the wheelchair services at Treviso and Stansted airport for misplacing the rack.

Ms Davis isn’t having much luck recently, a few weeks ago she was told to move her scooter for a mother and baby on a GWR train journey.

Tanyalee Davis’ rack was made especially for her in North Carolina five years ago.
