Disabled Man U supporters are campaigning for a modification at Old Trafford.
The fans are appealing for netting to protect them from flying missiles around the accessible area.
Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association (MUDSA) have revealed away fans have thrown coins, pies, bottles of urine and flares at games which have landed in the cornered of section reserved for supporters with disabilities.
One fan said: "If granted, it would come as a great relief to all those who have suffered over the years from the various items that have been thrown in our direction."
The club have said they are reviewing the request.
