Ellie Simmonds tries Snowboarding
Ellie Simmonds is usually found swimming lanes at record speeds, but last week she tried her hand at a freezing water event, more commonly known as skiing.
The retired Paralympic swimmer attended a National Lottery event held at The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead to showcase specialist kits provided by Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK).
Speaking at the event Simmonds said: “Trying out today has been absolutely amazing and yeah it may be a new hobby for the future but I’m going to leave it to the Winter Paralympians doing it right now.”
Ellie Simmonds is a patron of the Dwarf Sports Association UK.
