Penny Smith left GMTV this morning after 17 years of waking up the nation.

Somebody at Radio 4 made a mistake yesterday. A day after the Cumbria shootings the station broadcast a play titled ' Six Impossible Things' which included gunshot sounds and the killer shouting, "I'll put a bullet in your brain".

Liam Gallagher has named his new band after the Oasis split. Beady Eye will be releasing their first single towards the end of this year or early 2011, providing they don't have a bust-up before then!

If you were a fan of Little Britain and are missing Matt Lucas & David Walliams we have some good news for you as the pair of comedians will be returning to BBC1 in a new sitcom based set in a busy airport.

Sting will be playing two UK dates later this year. The short tour will see the yoga freak playing The Royal Albert Hall, London, 1st October and Necastle's Sage Hall on 5th October.
