Chiltern Open Air Museum have now launched a crowdfunding campaign which came into effect from 28 March 2015. The Museum initially is aiming to raise at least £7,000 in seed funding to pay for specialist building heritage professionals to assess the elements and create a plan to reconstruct the famous Jackson Studios, where many musical legends such as Elton John and Motorhead recorded classics or started their career. The Museum aims to reconstruct the building so that it can be used as an educational centre for children to learn about British radio, rock, and pop history. They would also have the ability to record and try out instruments. It will also be used as a live space for concerts and community music projects, plus a facility for local bands and artists who want to record.
