NOSES AT THE READY!

We couldn't really escape it could we? No matter how we tried everywhere you turn at the moment there's reminders that on Friday 16th March it's Red Nose Day again. We probably don't need to tell you what it's about, because if you are still confused you are probably mentally retarded and may benefit from this years fund!

All over the UK companies, schools and individuals have been doing their bit for Africa and projects closer to home. Sainsburys have been selling the noses, car freshener's, giggle balls and badges. TX Max restocking the official TV shirts on empty coat-hangers and tone deaf celebrities singing for votes in the Fame Academy.

Just weeks after it was announced Terry Wogan is paid £9,000 for hosting Children In Need lets just hope Lenry Henry has a few skeletons in his closet. If so, now is the ideal time for him to empty his wallet. Lenny's fat wife, Dawn French will crop up on the telethon in the final ever Vicar Of Dibley, Matt Lucas & David Walliams will be joined on stage by the likes of Russell Brand & Dennis Waterman for a chuckleful dose of exclusive Little Britain sketches and even Kate Moss will be sniffing around on stage.

Catherine Tate will be in character for a special Deal or no Deal and there's a rumor even Tony Blair may crop up on a sketch. Chris Evans, Brand (again), Graham Norton and Davina McColl are among the celebrity presenters taking viewers up until 3am. Top Gear will meet Top of the Pops and Peter Kay promises another remembering video with his rendition of The Proclaimers, '500 miles'. Music comes from artists such as Sugababes & Girls Aloud, Take That and The Killers. Pimp My Ride also races into the night's schedule for a special edition.

And that's only the tip of the nostrils. Comic Relief this year looks set to be the biggest one yet. 60% of the money raised goes straight to Africa and the remaining 40% stays in the UK helping out.

So, we admit it, we've been sucked in and are fully backing the cause. Please give as much as you can and enjoy the night on Friday 16th, BBC 1 from 7pm.

Don't worry, next week we will be back to our controversial, offensive selves, but for one week only ABLE2UK has gone soft. Don't tell anyone though, will ya?
