OUTSIDERS We don't know whether to promote this organization or slag it off. Probably the worse name for a disabled company since the spazzos at The Spastic Society thought up there's, Outsiders tries to pair off disabled people for love, friendship or a bit of how's your father under the bedsheets. The name says it all. The organization sells itself as a company trying to boost the confidence of disabled people and all that rubbish. Look, if you are one of those sad retards who feel sorry for yourself because of your disabilities may we point you to Clifton Suspension Bridge. They do have phones to the Samaritans but if you have trouble with your speech, well just jump! Outsiders want to help disabled people find friendship as well. Um, ever heard of the term socializing? So those two aims don't wash with us at ABLE2. Relationships however is a tricky one. Unless you have a wad of cash or famous finding a partner is quite tricky, but still not impossible. Those who want the easy way out can sign up to Outsiders for about £22 a year and will be invited to an introductory lunch where you can meet other sad and lonely depressing disabled people. You will even have the option to attend parties and share your stories about what a sad life you lead! Outsiders was found in 1979 by Dr Tuppy Downs who met disabled people who felt cut off and rejected from the outside world and were sexually frustrated and couldn't reach top shelf magazines or press a button on a DVD remote control. All kind of people are welcome no matter what disability they have and their sexual orientation. The society is run by other disabled people. Now you have heard of our personal opinion of this cause we would love to hear yours, maybe you agree with us or maybe you think we are being a tiny bit harsh. Drop us an email with your thoughts and we'll print them. We'd LOVE to hear from you! |
