Despite having the prospect of our guilty pleasure viewing interrupted by ‘Trick or Treaters’ over the next couple of days there’s another horror story circulating around one of the X Factor finalists.
Johnny Robinson is being questioned for receiving incapacity benefit for a number of years.
The situation was raised after his performance last Saturday where Johnny covered ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ by The Darkness. His set saw him dance around the stage and raising his hands...despite receiving £94.25 a week on benefit because he has a condition called spondylitis which causes disruption to the spine making it difficult for the sufferer to...dance around stages and raise their arms up high!
News of Johnny’s performance reached the Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith who demanded an investigation.
This isn’t the first time Duncan Smith has been outraged over this kind of incident, last year he questioned Wagner Carriho who performed on the talent show in 2010 despite claiming £91.40 a week in incapacity benefits.
So Johnny, just watch your back (in more ways than one) this weekend as it seems there’s at least one person who won’t be voting for you after your performance on Saturday night.
