Although Ricky Gervais made headlines last week over a controversial use of the word ‘Mong’ the comedian is about to make his comeback at what he is best at, making good comedy series.

Warrick Davis was born on 3 February 1970, despite being a dwarf measuring in at 3 ft 6 in tall he already has an impressive career. The star has appeared in blockbusting movies such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, two of the Harry Potter films and holds his head up high fitting into a Ewok costume for Return of the Jedi.

His next venture sees him pair up with Gervais and Steven Merchant for the new BBC show, ‘Life’s Too Short’. The series will follow Davis’s footsteps in the glitzy world of entertainment casting Warrick as the manager of a small person talent agency and has been compared to the duo’s previous comedy show, Extras – which also saw Davis making an appearance in one of the episodes.

More comparisons to Extra will be made when viewers spot the odd guest or two popping up throughout the programmes run. Keep your eyes peeled for the likes of Steve Carell, Sting, Helena Bonham Carter, Liam Neeson and Johnny Depp.

The show also brings out Warrick’s great sense of humour, for instance in one scene Ricky and Steven ask him how he keeps getting in the front door, since they thought the buzzer was positioned too high for him to reach.

The Making Of Life Too Short is on 5 November and Life Too Short begins on BBC 2 on 10 November.

The show will also air on HBO in America next February.
