Tinie Tempah is a name which you will hear quite a bit next month, especially on 15th February, the night of the awards themselves, the British rapper scooped four nominations last night and is set to perform at the ceremony itself. Patrick Junior Chukwuem Okogwu as he was referred to when a vicar splashed some holy water on his face 22 years ago tweeted this morning how he was still in shock after seeing his face making the front cover of The Times Newspaper.
Before the show started last night, which was also watched by the likes of Example and Simon Webb who were nested inside the VIP area, the nominees were read out for the Best Producer. The winner will be announced at an industry dinner next month, if you are interested the nominees are Ethan Johns, John Leckie, Markus Dravs, Mike Pela and Stuart Price.
For the first time since the awards started 30 years ago a handful of musicians have also been allowed to vote alongside members of the music industry - meaning that Tinie Tempah must have done quite a few favours for people over the past twelve months!
The Brit Awards 2011 takes place at The O2 Arena and acts already confirmed to perform are Tinie Tempah (Surprise, Surprise!), Rihanna, Plan B and Take That with more acts to be announced.
