Potter fans were filled with mixed emotions back in July, the eagerly awaited second instalment of the Deathly Hallows marked the final chapter between the battle of Harry and Voldemort . As the credits rolled it seemed the adolescent wizard would hang up his cloak for good, but fear not Potter fanatics as we have some spellbinding news for you.

On 3 March the production company behind the Potter movies announced their plans for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesdaen, London and last weekend ABLE2UK joined a handful of Potter fans at the launch, which was held at London’s O2.

Visitors to the attraction, which opens in the Spring of 2012, will be able to walk around the authentic sets from the eight Potter movies. Costumes, props, effects and animatronics from all the films will also be on display.

One of the main attractions will be the Great Hall, one of the first sets to be designed for the films. The 120ft long and 40 ft wide room will allow guests to experience the ‘Office’ which was home to the likes of Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint for the past ten years.

Another highlight of the tour will be Dumbledore’s office which was seen in the Chamber of Secrets. Apparently, and here’s a Potter fact for you, another office was built behind it just in case it needed to be used in one of the movies, it never was!

The Warner Bros. Studios will be one of largest studio production buildings in Europe and will have a quarter of a million square feet used for soundstages. 150,000 square feet ( the size of three football pitches) will be dedicated to the Harry Potter sets.

Warrick Davis who played Professor Filius Fitwick and Griphook in the Deathly Hallows films told the audience at the launch he was looking forward to taking his family to the attraction as soon as it opens next year.

So, how do you book your tickets?

Tickets need to be pre-booked online and will go on sale from 13 October 2011 via www.wbstudiotour.co.uk priced at £28 for adults and £21 for children. As yet we do not have details for any concessions, but keep your eyes peeled for further magical announcements.
