Apart from the tedious task of writing out cards, the frustration trying to wrap presents and the embarrassment of the Christmas work party aftermath, there’s one more important ingredient which the holiday season would be incomplete without...Food! And this weekend the Taste of Christmas festival will attempt to meet all your kitchen needs.
Taking place at London’s ExCel centre from 2-4 December this tasty event follows the wonderful ‘Taste’ festival which took part in London earlier this year.
Guests will be able to transform their pounds into crowns so they purchase mouth-watering delights as well as having the chance to dine in an exclusive Jamie OIiver restaurant (the man himself will be there on the Friday), sample wine and cheese in the Ryvita Theatre, prep themselves for Christmas dinner by participating in the AEG Perfekt Cooking Clases and idol world class chefs at the AEG Taste Theatre.
As we already mentioned, Jamie Oliver will be opening the event on Friday morning (2 December), he will be joined by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingsatall from River cottage, both chefs will be giving their top tips for Christmas at a special opening show. Other celebrity chefs cooking up a frenzy over the weekend include Aldo Zilli and Gary Rhodes.
Disabled access at the event promises to be excellent as the venue fully complies within the DDA equipped with disabled parking, cash machines and bars at wheelchair level and disabled bathrooms around the exhibition centre.
