Of course, music in enjoyed through our sense of hearing and loud music is one of the causes of deafness.

This weekend staff and volunteers from Action on Hearing Loss will be making themselves heard at this year’s Camden Crawl festival which takes place between the 4 to the 6 May.

Over the next fortnight visitors and residences of Camden Town will find it difficult to escape the warning posters which the charity intends to put up across the area. They will be on display in the music venues, cinemas and the tube making us aware of the dangers which can be caused listening to loud music without protection.

The simple solution to ensure you will be able to listen to The Cribs forthcoming albums or enjoy The Horrors when they embark on their next tour is to wear a pair of earplugs, but what do you think of this idea?

This weekend you will have the opportunity to tell the charity your views as between the hours of 2pm – 4pm this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (4-6 May) you may bump into one of the guys from Action on Hearing Loss and asked to participate in a quick survey, the charity will also be providing free re-useable music earplugs so you can make sure your ears won’t be ringing on Bank Holiday Monday.
