Sorry, I was just writing my Christmas List in the hope that in eight months time I find a bloody big rectangle present stuffed under my tree.
You see 3D TV has finally reached these shores although the bad news is that they don't come cheap. Having already been sold over in the States and Japan the television sets will set you back £1,799 - That's a tenth of what Terry Wogan is paid every time he asks you to delve deep into your pocket on Children In Need night!
Once you have splashed out nearly two grand for the set there's more expensive to be had before you see Lorraine Kelly's assets jump out into your living room. A further £150 will give you a pair of 3D glasses, 3D Blue-Ray DVD is priced at £350 and a compatible HDMI cable is £50.
At the moment the hefty purchase will only allow you a limited three-dimensional form of entertainment because there are no 3D channels and a small proportion of 3D Blue Ray DVDs and video games.
SKY TV will be the first to launch a 3D channel around September, although for the time being the TV sets offer state of the art 2D high-definition technology.
Samsung launched the first 3D television in the UK last Thursday (22nd April) and 28-year-old Matt Rajah was the first person to purchase a 3D TV.
He said:” I saw Avatar with my friends in 3D at the cinema and really loved that film. I'm also an avid gamer as well so I'm hoping to exploit some of the features of the TV through gaming."
Anyway I need to finish off my Christmas list so catch you later...
P.S. ABLE2UK thinks Samsung are incredible. Samsung really lead technology when it comes to home entertainment. We have even included a link to Samsung on this page.
