'Third time lucky’, so the saying goes. Well, let’s hope the three words ring true this weekend when another peaceful demonstration takes place in Central London revolving around the controversial changes to welfare reforms.

UK Uncut, the organisation behind last year’s Hardest Hit marches are once again asking those affected by the opposed new bill to take to the streets and express their concern.

Despite the House of Lords voting against the Bill, MPs are set to go ahead with the cuts.

Sarah Evans of UK Uncut aired her anger towards the Prime Minister, she said:

"Instead of taking serious action against rich companies' tax-dodging and their fancy corporate lawyers, David Cameron is instead choosing to make the poorest and most isolated pay for the economic crisis they didn't cause.

"At least £25 billion of tax is avoided every single year by super-rich companies and individuals, far more than the Government hopes to save through this devastating Bill. The Welfare Reform Bill is cruel and unnecessary and it must be stopped."

The proposed cuts will see a 20% reduction off the Disability Living Allowance and despite the government blaming the cuts to fraud benefit payments recent research has proved only 0.5% of the claims were fraudulent.

If the bill goes ahead half a million people may lose their disability benefits. Those with terminal illness may be forced into employment and 3.2 million people with disabilities will be put through cruel and degrading tests.

This Saturday, 28 January people are being asked to gather at Holborn Tube Station with an Oyster card to travel to a secret location which aims to show the government how powerful disabled people can be.
