Have a look at our logo above, you see that little c in a circle after ABLE2UK? That's a copyright symbol. In other words, if you want to copy our name then think again. Which is why 'Disability View' are treading on dangerous ground and just two letters and one digit short from being hanged up by their balls from us.

Disability View started back in 1994 as a magazine for disabled people, the publication became very well respected. It's popularity grew immensely over the past years and is now one of the most read disabled magazines. The aim of the magazine was to show what a disabled person can do as opposed to what they can't and breaking down the barriers which was put up by society.

Because of this, the staff had a scrath-head meeting and wanted to come up with a new 'original' name to celebrate their first decade of success. They eventually came up with 'Able'.

This is the companies second face-lift over the past ten years, the first happened last year when they gave their mag. a sparking new makeover which will stay until the end of 2004. In a matter of fact it took the guys three years to come up with the new name - it took us a pint in a pub!

The first issue of 'Able' will be available in January 2005 and will be backed by a website called www.ablemagazsine.co.uk which will be launched this Summer. Contents of the magazine will include sport topics, employment news and other interesting stuff.under a sub title of 'Get Active.'

So from all us here at the 'original' Able2 site, good luck guys, we are probably gonna change our name at Christmas - How does 'Viewing Disabiltys.com' grab ya?
