SEEKING PITY

Before we start lets get things straight. We are not racist one bit here at ABLE2UK, many of our helpful contacts who help us attend showbiz events are black. We attend the MOBO Awards on an annual basis and we tried to cover the Japanese New Year party earlier this year, unfortunately we were turned down by a Mr.Ying Young Yang Pang, or whatever the fuck he was called! Seriously though, we treat every one equal, everyone deserves human rights, it's a free country and people should be allowed to live their lives as they wish.

Except, for Asylum seekers. Let's face it we know they have a rough time and valiantly attempt to escape to better countries such as the UK. But until our own people have roofs over their heads instead of having to write begging posters on cardboard whilst sleeping rough on the streets surely they should be given second priority. They even steal Reality TV spaces from other sad losers who fancy being locked in a house all Summer. We have nothing against the people themselves and to be honest the finger points at people such as Blair and not the individual.Right, now we have that sorted out we can hopefully start this story without too many emails slagging us off!

Our story starts at Dulles International Airport in Washington, 2001 an asylum seeker called Malik Jarno has used a fake passport to gain entry to the States. He has walked off a plane from Africa. It was there he bid farewell to his friend, who put him on the flight because no one would look after him, if Malik's story is to be believed that is!

According to Malik his father was killed in prison as he was involved in a tribal conflict traced back to the mosque where he used to be imam, bit like a priest but without an interest in young boys! (this report is going to set off so many complaints!-Editor.)

His mother had already died and Malik was to be looked after with relatives in Europe. The reason why he has to be cared for is because Malik is mentally disabled, it's the same reason why, according to Malik, the relatives. refused to look after him. Hence why he's now at the airport in Washington, hoping to have a better life.

It's 2004 and things didn't go as smoothly as planned for Malik. He is spending his third year in jail and the federal government are tying to send him back to his home town of Guinea. Malik insists that should he return he will be prosecuted.

Of course, this is a wet dream for the Human Rights. Not only can they lap up the fact that there's an asylum seeker being unfairly treated but the fact that he's disabled is like Christmas and Birthday celebrations coming at once! (The ABLE2 inbox is about to be bombarded with unhappy responses - Editor)

Bill Fedrick is the director of the refugee services for Amnesty International and put his point across..

"We have certainly been critical of INS, but his case has been really awful, He was completely lost in the shuffle. His first year here must have been a total nightmare."

Failing to add that there was always to the option for Malik to hop on a plane back to Africa!

After the immigration authorities detected the fake passport they banged Malik up in various prisons and are also doubtful of who he actually his and his background story.

The mentally disabled prisoner then tried suing over his treatment in Piedmont Regional Jail as
he led the court to believe he was beaten up and sprayed with pepper. His case was dismissed and he was moved to a halfway house for refugees.

At the moment Jarno's lawyers are making contact with Guinea to see what dangers he would face should he return to the country. His mental state is also being looked into by the government as recent tests show only mild deformities.

The case is still going on and hopefully the asylum seeker will be shipped off back to where he belongs and taught a lesson. (Right, that's it - I'm off to work at SCOPE! I'm not waiting any threatening emails from the Human Rights Authority!- (ex) Editor)
