The world of pop is a fickle one. Posters of boybands plastered over teenage girls' bedrooms are regularly replaced within months. Just months ago eyes from Westlife members would be staring down from the walls, now they are probably crumpled up in the dustbin along with old copies of Smash Hits. The latest boyband to capture the hearts of teenagers are Busted. Three cheeky lads called Charlie - the one with the bushy eyebrows, James - the cute one (allegedly) and Matt are shifting singles by the bucketload. This week the lads release their new single, Crash The Wedding this week and at the time going to print it looks like it could fight off Kylie and Britney for the number one slot in the chart on Sunday.

To celebrate the fact Island Records have signed a winning boyband they orgainsed a launch party for their second album, A Present For Everyone. To coincide with the title of the lads' single the party was held in a church, St. Mary Magdalene Church in West London to be precise. The invitations handed out were designed as Wedding invites, so guests could - Crash The Wedding!

The lads happily mingled with autograph hunters who had either won competitions, had parents working at the record company or just blagged themselves past the security (who were dressed as ushers). Guests with included Fame Academy's Richard Parks enjoyed a free bar and an assortment of crisps and peanuts and with just a very small handful journalists managing to wangle an invite it made the atmosphere very relaxed.

So until next weeks new boyband appears Busted are the princes of boyband world and they didn't even have to audition in front of a Pop Idol jury, which is quite an achievement these days!
